Sixth Annual Golf to Honor Tournament
Jackson Lancaster,  a 2014 Midland High School graduate, is a recipient of the Patrick Wayland Memorial Scholarship.  Ranked 10th in his class, Jackson served as president of the Student Council his senior year. He participated in cross country, football, basketball and baseball where he earned numerous honors, was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, Texas Scholar, MOAS delegate, Homecoming Court and Catoico Prom Court.  Jackson is active in Young Life and Stonegate Church, and volunteered as a youth basketall coach, Fellowship of Christian Athletes core leader, MMH blood drive, March of Dimes, Christmas for OUR Troops, High Sky Children's Ranch, Saint Ann's Fair, and Special Olympics.  Jackson is pursuing a degree in petroleum engineering at Texas Tech University.

Matthew Gallegos, a 2015 Midland High School graduate, also received the Patrick Wayland Memorial Scholarship.  An outstanding student ranked 14th in his class, Matt was senior and junior class president, a member of National Honor Society, the Catoico Prom Court, and played football and lacrosse. He was very involved at First Baptist Church where he served as an Upward Basketball referee, camp counselor, and participated in youth group. Matthew attends The University of Texas in Austin, majoring in business. 


Jackson Ware, a 2017 graduate of Midland High School, is the most recent recipient of the Patrick Wayland Memorial Scholarship. Top 10% of his class, Jackson lettered in academics as well as varsity tennis. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and was elected MHS Varsity Tennis Captain. Jackson's community involvement includes Midland Teen Court, Adopt-a-Highway cleanup, and Boys and Girls Club summer camp. He was active in Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He attends the University of Oklahoma where he is majoring in civil engineering.
